The KTA-450 features Alpine's exclusive DPP technology, which automatically adjusts the gain to meet musical needs. DPP prevents the amplifier from clipping music signals by supplying up to double the power to support rhythmic instruments that provide snappy sounds (like a snare drum, trumpet, or high-hat cymbals). During these dynamic musical passages, DPP instantly delivers bursts of power to rise to the peak demands of the music. The DPP technology enhances the KTA-450's performance to 400 watts, essentially doubling the amplifier's power without increasing its size. Other Power Pack amplifiers featuring DPP technology include the KTA-30FW and KTA-30MW.
