This power/ground Wire is a Copper-Clad Aluminum Wire (CCA). Meaning it is composed of an inner aluminum core and outer copper cladding. This battery cable was designed specifically to be larger than the competition. Copper Clad Aluminum is less conductive than Oxygen-Free Copper when comparing like-sized conductors. CCA, however, is also much less expensive. By increasing the area in our cable, Absolute Was able to achieve similar performance to OFC, but without the higher cost. This is what makes our cable different from the competition.

Increasing the conductor size, Absolute was able to achieve similar performance compared to traditionally sized OFC cables. Following the load rating below, the use of the CCA Cable follows accepted industry standards for voltage drop over the rated distance. Applications include mobile audio and other 12V automotive applications. The CCA Cable features an ultra-flex matte PVC jacket that makes it bend to any radius and stable in temperatures from -40C to 105C.
