Alpine redesigns its X-Series subwoofers to deliver even more impressive performance. The X-W12D4 12" subwoofer handles up to 900 watts RMS, so don't hesitate to give it plenty of juice. This rugged sub features a pulp/mica cone with a parabolic shape that maintains its rigidity and strength for outstanding response and accuracy. The big rubber surround supports the cone in the sub's cast aluminum frame, while Alpine's latest technology allows this sub to move an amazing amount of air (28mm Xmax, for you bass geeks out there) at very high levels while staying cool.
Versatility
You can wire the dual 4-ohm voice coils to get the optimum performance from your amp or configure a custom setup with multiple subwoofers. The X-W12D4 works well in sealed and ported enclosures, so you can choose what kind of bass you want to hear and feel.

A triple-stacked magnet surrounds an extended voice coil, allowing a very long excursion and resulting in huge air movement. A specialized CRC pole with integrated cooling fins and an aluminum shorting cap reduces the lag of coils alternating movement while also providing cooling within the motor. The cone structure is suspended by two spiders and our patented H.A.M.R. surround. The stability of the dual-spider, along with the even unfolding of the multi-roll surround, creates incredibly linear cone travel, free of any unneeded movement that causes distortion. The powerful and efficient motor, coupled with its highly controlled suspension, gives the X-Series subwoofer the ability to create loud and accurate bass in a very small, sealed box. Only requiring one cubic foot of air space (.55 for the 10), the 12 X-Series subwoofer can reproduce frequencies down to 40 Hz before rolling off, leaving you with bass that digs deep and plenty of trunks.
